Cast Iron Grill Disc Pan Insert – 7.5 Inch

This griddle disc does exactly what I bought it for: pairing with a single-side cast iron panini press, and functioning as a inductive plate for my non-ferrous cookware. In both cases I have the disc straight on the inductive surface (though I am looking into pads to keep it from shifting when I have a pot sitting on it). I’m also careful to gradually ramp up the heat.I have not yet tried it sitting in another pan for grilling as indicated, but I’m sure that for fatty foods that would contain the grease better. As an inductive plate, it does seem like a dedicated heat diffuser heats cookware faster, though for simmering this definitely got the job done.
