This pan does not come perfect out of the box. It does take a few seasoning cycles to make it better. I tried cooking some burgers right off and as expected, they stuck even with a little cooking spray. I figured this would happen. I scrubbed everything off to get it back to base and began the seasoning process. Light oil, an hour in the oven at 500F, let it cool, repeat two more times. I then had what I felt was a nice slick surface. Did a couple burgers again with some cooking spray, no sticking what so ever. I never do the typical egg test in a cast iron pan because I’m not that good with them yet, but maybe someday.Overall, I highly recommend this pan for small simple meals.
