29cm Mini Octagonal Softbox with Removeable Diffuser Cloth Honeycomb Grid Compatible for Mini Bowens Mount LED Video Lights

This Kalofaye mini softbox has been a helpful addition to my studio kit! I’ll admit, I wasn’t initially aware that it was specifically for mini Bowens mounts when I was offered this from Vine (thought it was a regular Bowens mount), so I had to buy a compatible light to test it out. What a great excuse to buy another studio light! And once I got everything set up, I was quite pleased with the results.This softbox is incredibly lightweight and portable, which is a massive plus. It folds quickly and comes with a handy carrying bag, so it should also work well for on-location shoots. Right now, the small size means I can easily and quickly reposition it as a fill-light mid-session as needed, which is super handy.The light quality is also quite good for portraits. It produces a soft, diffused light that’s flattering. The included honeycomb grid is a nice touch, as it helps to control the spread of light and create a more focused beam when needed.My only nitpick was that the mini Bowens mount on this softbox is finicky. It isn’t the tightest fit on my light, but it’s solid enough that I’m not worried about it falling off.Overall, I’m happy with the Kalofaye mini softbox. It’s a great value for the price and a handy tool to have in my studio. If you’re looking for a portable and affordable softbox for your mini Bowens mount lights, and you primarily shoot portraits, I’d definitely recommend giving this one a try.
