I feel that this “Snoot” will provide additional lighting capabilities and interest to my video shooting while using the light I already own! I’ve played with it a little bit and overall it seems sturdy & of higher build quality than I expected after reading some of the reviews. While it is a basic and simple light modification device it should be much easier and faster to use than jury-rigging something on-set when the need arises.The original packaging (a lightweight cardboard box) was crushed when I received it (Amazon delivery, I suspect) so I won’t likely be using that for storage or travel), but the item inside was undamaged! The “honeycomb” grid it comes with did not yet seem to provide any significant benefit, so I intend to 3D Print an extension with a longer honeycomb grid.For me, it was worth purchasing.
