I have at least 15 or 18 different rechargeable lights for camping, my off grid hunting cabin, and emergency power outages. I have propane and white gas lanterns that I no longer use very much because LED lights have gotten so good. Plus you can recharge them, they are safe to use, and easy to store. I use a solar generator w solar panels at camp. I even have several models of this light that don’t offer the red light function. I have been begging for a good rechargeable light like this that has the red light feature along with features like a long lasting, adjustable, and very bright output, and a hook and magnet on the back. Plus the light is very flat, so it packs very easily. I can use this light a significant amount of time over a 3 to 4 night visit to my cabin without it running out of power.The red light feature is a game changer though! This light is now my favorite rechargeable light that I have. It has a blinking red light function which is nice for vehicle break downs if needed. With the magnets on the back, you can stick it to what ever side of your vehicle maybe facing traffic. But, the real benefit to many users will be the constant red light function. Red light doesn’t ruin your night vision, if that’s important. It is to me. It doesn’t scare wildlife if you enjoy watching deer or other critters after dark. What I REALLY like about using a red light though it that it doesn’t attract bugs. So you can change a car tire without bugs dive bombing you, or you can have an evening meal outside without picking bugs off of your plate. Also, if you use the red light inside a tent or cabin, bugs aren’t beating themselves senseless trying to get inside the second you open the door to go outside.If you are going to get any kind of similar light that you plan to use outside, during emergencies, camping, or power outages, this light is almost impossible to beat for features, price, brightness, and portability. I love it!
