I got the 500gram coffee vac V professional (I hate these listings where reviews are combined for every product option, don’t you?). I thought that like the little tight vacs of like 1 ounce or 3.5 grams that I used to buy to keep medicinal herbs in, I would need to have a bigger one than my weight would be. But coffee is a lot denser than medicinal herbs! I can fit all of a standard bag into one with room to spare. But the thing is purged as you close it. The problem with tight vacs is that you can basically break them over time, if you are not careful to completely break the seal with the button and you let the bottom fall off while picking it up by the cap, it eventually degrades the seal. Also, like they tell you in the manual, keep the rim clean, because otherwise it gets stuck closed sometimes. That can be bad with the medicinal herbs, not so much with the coffee though. So the moral of the story is children, buy one of these to keep volatile plant terpenes, flavonoids, what have you, from evaporating and treat it nice. I still think these things are overpriced for what they are, but they work.
