1496 Carburetor Idle Mixture Screws Repalcement For Edelbrock Carburetor 1496 Carburetor Idle Mixture Screws. Fit to Edelbrock 1406 carburetor and 1906 AVS2 Carburetors idle mix screws

My old idle mixture screws had shown some signs of wear, so bought these to replace them. Pretty simple part, didn’ t think much of installing them. While tightening, there was a bit of kickback which I later discovered was the spring supplied w/ them. On the original screw’s springs the final coil at each end is more tightly wound and then machined flat. On these, it’s a simple spring, so as they’re tightened the lack of the flat causes the perpendicularly cut coil to sort of ‘dig in’ to the body of the carb and kinda messes the installation of the screws up. Hope this makes sense. I have pics on a different phone I will try to add later. Once I figured this out, I just took the old springs and put them on the new screws. Just a heads up.
