I have a great set of knives that I absolutely love and use frequently. That said, I am always looking for a good knife that is perfect for those “quick” meals when you don’t want a lot of clean up afterwords. So, a dishwasher safe knife is great for those occasions. My primary knife set is high carbon Damascus steel that will rust and get destroyed in the dishwasher, so I don’t always want to use those when I am in a hurry and want to get food on the table. As the cook in the house, I can appreciate a good knife that doesn’t require a ton of care, but still does a good job when you need to cut up some meat and vegetables for dinner.This feels like a well-built knife. Handles are a matter of preference, but I prefer the style of handle that this is. It is comfortable in the hand and you feel secure holding it, regardless of whether you are cutting thick cuts on meat or tender vegetables. The blade has a slight curve to it, but not much. Because of this, it is not a great knife for finely dicing things like onions or herbs, since you don’t get much of the rocking motion. But it is still sharp and comfortable to use.For a really inexpensive chef’s knife that you can just throw in the dishwasher at the end of the night, it is well worth it. If, for some reason, it doesn’t hold up over long-term use, I will update my review. So far, after 3 meals and dishwashing cycles, all it has required was a little honing and you are good to go. Not much different from a $500 chef’s knife, minus the hand-washing requirements!
