These are great. I’d gotten an aero garden last year to grow herbs. I followed the directions & grew lots of herbs, which I froze in zip lock bags to use throughout the year. I may want to grow herbs again after I’ve used those I’ve got in the freezer.In the meantime, I wanted to try growing other things, like tomatoes, peppers & lettuce. This set is perfect for allowing me to do that. I’ve been growing a variety of lettuce types, like red & green Romaine, Ok Leaf, Black seeded Simpson, & Bib lettuce, & they’re growing like gangbusters. Rather than cut the lettuce completely off when it’s large, I trim leaves individually, leaving behind smaller leaves to continue growing. The smaller leaves grow & new leaves sprout. I’ve harvested lettuce four times now & couldn’t be happier. I harvest it about one a week.What’s really nice, is that I have lots more lettuce seeds & extra grow sponges. I an scrub & reuse the baskets that hold the sponges, but have extra in case something happens to the ones I’m currently using. I’ll continue to buy more grow sponges & baskets to hold them as needed.This has been great fun. I no longer need to buy & clean lettuce. I harvest what I’ve grown & it’s free of chemicals & insecticides because they aren’t really needed when growing indoors.I did grow a bush tomato plant & a pepper & transferred them to pots with soil. They’re doing okay but really need to go outside. They’ll be able to go out in about a month when the danger of frost has passed.
